Xiaomi has launched the much-awaited Redmi K40 series on Feb 25 in china. Rather than last year’s similar Ultra variant, the K40 lineup adds a new Pro+ variant this time. This series includes standard Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, and Redmi K40 Pro+. Here’s briefly explained all the essential things you should know.
Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 are available to purchase starting from Mar 4 in China. There are three color variants available, namely Glossy Black, Icy White, and Dreamland.
Redmi K40 for the 6GB+128GB base variant has been started at CNY 1,999 ($308.90). the rest is as follows:

Redmi K40 Pro/ K40 Pro+ :
Both devices Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+, come up with a 6.67-inch Full-HD+ E4 AMOLED display consisting 360Hz touch response rate and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both smartphones are powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset and paired with 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

What’s different in Redmi K40 Pro and K40 Pro+
The difference in both smartphones is the sensor. The Redmi K40 Pro has a primary 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor at the helm of the triple camera setup, and the K40 Pro+ includes 108MP Samsung HM2 sensor. The other two sensors are the same for both, including 5MP telephoto macro and 8MP ultra-wide.
Similar to Pro and Pro+ variants, the standard Redmi K40 includes the exact same 120Hz E4 AMOLED display features. Redmi K40 is powered by Snapdragon 870 5G chipset that, in real life, you can see as Snapdragon 865++. The onboard storage is 256GB of UFS 3.1 and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, where the device also runs Android 11-based MIUI 12.5.
Redmi K40 additionally includes Dolby Audio support and Hi-Res Audio with dual-stereo speakers onboard. The battery pack is of 4,520mAh 33W fast-charging support housing a slim 7.8mm body.
The vertical triple camera setup has 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor with a 5MP telephoto macro camera and 8MP ultra-wide lens. The Redmi K40 provides connectivity options like NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, 5G connectivity, and GNSS having additional IP53 water and dust resistance rating.
